In moving to Madison Avenue, Stephen-Russell wanted to capture the flavor and image of Paris shops from the early 20th century as a backdrop for their antique and estate jewelry.
To recreate this fabulous era, Rosenberg Kolb selected wrought iron scrollwork, natural finish steel, Delmonico marble and limestone for the facade materials. Inside, Sapele Pommele wood and satin nickel framed-glass cabinets display the jewelry against a soft green ultrasuede liner.
With very limited retail space, stringent security requirements, and the need for a new stair to access basement office and storage areas, planning and design were approached with the precision and flawless execution of a fine jeweler. The result is a retail envelope as precious as its merchandise.
